The following cadets received certificates for the successful completion of their courses at Penhold, AB. Sgt. Carson Dauk - Air Studies; Cpl Nicholas Beaudry - Junior Leaders; LAC Travis Hanke, LAC Michael Dauk,had the opportunity to go gliding. Also in October, approximately 14 cadets visited Dennis Long and participated in a Radio Controlled Aircraft demonstration. Some of the cadets actually Hew the aircraft under the watchful eye of the plane's owner. This was possible because of a dual control system used by the Radio Control Club. After the demonstration we proceeded to Wellman Lake for a wiener roast.The community response to our annual Christmas Card fund raiser has so far been overwhelming. The Christmas Card will be mounted next to the town hall and for $2.00 individuals can have their name printed on it. For $5.00 businesses can buy a box with their business name on it.Anyone wishing to have their name on the Christmas card can contact any staff member or drop into Lloyd’s Jewellerv on Main Street.• wThe Air Cadet parent committee will be having a bake sale at the Coop on December 7 from 4:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. The cadets will be taking names for the Christmas card at this bake sale.
