They were on the transport that returned to port on account of defective boilers after being on the water nine days. The boys from here are as follows: Ronald Dyslin,Henry Grashoff, Harold Peterson, George Marcher, Everett McManus and W. B. Striker.Selected men who have been held for Military service can now enlist in the navy after December 15th, by presenting a certificate from the local board, that they will not be called in the present quota. Also large numbers of men are desired for naval service, and any man who has not been called in for physical examination has the right to enlist at any time up to the time of such call.
