The rebels burned all i |lf our tents, knapsacks, blankets and cloth-ing. While they were burning our things, the first brigade of the third division came to our rescue. The 60th Indiana lost about two-thirds. the 23d Wisconsin one-half. The 96th and 83d Ohio lost very few.Company C, 67th, had none killed or wounded of those who were with the regiment. James B. Wilson, who was detailed in the 17th Ohio Battery, was wounded%/ •in the side.The following members of company C escaped: Lieut. T. E. McLeland, Serg’tA. G. What their next move will he, I cannot tell.Colonel Owen’s Adjutant General, CL \V. Richardson of Madison, was complimented on the field by General Burbridge lor his good behavior. Mr. Gahr adds the names oll)ro! James Dewey and William Quigley lo^ie those given by Kvle. The letter of Lieut.Richardson is long and interesting, givingas it does a full account of the affair. Weare sorry that we cannot give the letter infull. He confirms the safety of the Madi-son hoys already mentioned, and adds: 1 * 1 ' * s - ; ‘Uapt.
