Mark Graye of Soldier; Ceremony SetThe dedication of the grave marker provided by the federalgovernment, for Pvt.' William York, Revolutionary war soldier, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Davis cemetery.State Senator Robert Peter* son of . Rochester and Fred Tam of Idaville will be guest speakers. ..Mrs. 7. Willis Montgomery, local regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution, will dedicate the tombstone, .which will be unveiled by Miss Paula Scherer, great-great-great-great-great granddaughter of Private York.The invocation and benediction will be given by the Rev. Raymond Skelton and Peterson will be introduced by State Rep. J. Riley Thimbu*. Herbert Lowes, local VFW commander, will be in charge of the firing of a salute.A native of Virginia, York died in 1839 in Cass County, having moved here from North Carolina' after the war. It was discovered only recently that he was a Revolutionary war soldier.
