Howdyshell held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Sunday afternoon.Mrs. Ross Stimmel and daughter Wilma Jean spent Friday night in Logan at the home of Mrs. S. H. Dillon. *Sunday evening services were held at the Maxville Methodist Church with Rev. Irvin Sprang of Lancaster in charge. Since services are held only every other Sunday evening, the night of December 3rd is scheduled for the next service. *Mr. David Howdyshell has announced the Maxville schools will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving.Mrs. Lura Wolfe and daughters called on Mrs. Marinda Christian of Gore, Monday evening.Among those who left the vicinity of Maxville for examination at Columbus Wednesday were: Francis Wahl, Charles Wahl, Clarence Deacon and Arthur Danison. Although the 1943. the routine of war has made it impossible to have a wedding dinner until this time when Mr. Wilson was home on a fifteen-day furlough. It comes very near being an anniversary dinner which will be impossible this year as Mr.Wilson expects to be on duty at that time.
