LETTER RECEIVED BY MR. AND MRS. RUD. FILIPNorthern IrelandNov. 7, 1943 Dear Mother and Dad:,I thought I would drop youi all a few lines again to let you know I am well and happy as*ever and hope you all are thesame.I got a letter from Toodie today, surely was glad to hear from him, but I never did get a letter from you all yet.How is everybody aroundhome. I guess everything is4 dead there.Ma, don’t ever worry about me, we have it just as good here as in the states, we cango somewhere every night if we want too. Christmas is getting near, but I guess it will be impossible for me to send you all anything, it is hard to get anything over here, but I can *send you all some money and you can buy whatever you want. I guess you are not quite as lonesome now since that school teacher is with you all again. How is the radio, is it still working? We got a 20 per cent raise in our pay since we are overseas so I draw about $11 more than I did in the states, that’s not so bad.
