Major John Rainky, of the 78th Ohio, has returned home, after serving out the full term of his enlistment -three years. Major Rainey first entered the army as a private in the three months service, hut was soon elected Lieutenant by his company. He raised a company for the 78th, and was afterwards elected Major of that regiment. He was an able and faithful officer, and was very popular with his command.
