LAS VEGAS, Nov. 22.—Dedication of the new Overton airport as Perkins field will be made Dec. 31 at impressive ceremonies, Jess Whipple, chairman of the program committee, announced here today.The field will be named in honor of two Clark county * natives, Woodruff Perkins and Elwfood Perkins, who died in action in world war I and II respectively, it was said.Nevada’s congressional delegation, along with Gov. Vail Pittman and Lt. Gov. Clifford A. Jones, have been invited to attend the ceremonies. An air show, with John Lytle of the sheriff’s aero squadron in charge, has been planned and Joe L. Mason of the Las Vegas air force base has promised the co-operation of the military in staging the program.
