Cloud, Army Air Forces. 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Cloud of 103 Blaine street, recently cleared through the Air Transport command’s aerial port of debarkation at the Washington National Airport Army Air base in the nation’s capital. He had just returned to the United1 States aboard an ATC plane after seven months overseas.S'Sgt. Cloud was an aerial gunner aboard a B-17, Flying ‘ Fortress, and saw considerable action in the European theater of operations, where he served from last April until just before his return to Washington.Veteran of 50 combat missions over enemy territory, many of which were hotly contested by stiff enemy fighter interception and heavy antiaircraft fire, he was awarded the Air Medal with 3 oak leaf
