KILLED IN BELGIUM — W.Charles Fillmore, Jr., technician fifth grade, was killed October 29, 1344, in Bc-lgium as the result of a fractured skull, according to a telegram received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Fillmore, 323 Harding avenue. Corporal Fill-more entered the service in February, 1943, and the last of April, 1943. was sent overseas. He was a member of an aviation engineering corps. Corporal Fillmore, 21. attended Bakersfield High School and was employed by his father in the Petroleum Distributing Company at Shafter before entering the service.
