CHS grad finishes Navy nuclear school! Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class ! Shawn W. Hanvy, son of Suzann and David R. Hanvy of Crosby, recently graduated from : the Navy’s Nuclear Power School at Nava! Nuclear Power Training Command Goose Creek, S.C.During the six-month course, Hanvy received fundamental training in severai technical fields related to the nuclear power program.With his newly acquired knowledge, Hanvy is prepared to operate a reactor on a nuclear powered submarine or aircraft carrier, ensuring the availability of propulsion and power.Hanvy is a 2000 graduate of Crosby High School and joined the Navy in June 2003.
