SGT. TRACY I). STRACHN, has completed a U.S. Army primary leadership course.Students received training in supervisory skills, leadership principles and small unit training techniques essential to a first-line supervisor in a technical or administrative environment,He is an assistant squad leader with the :»th Infantry in West Germany.Strachn is the son of Maxine A. Strachn of Deerfield, and Raymond C. Strachn of 7600 E. Bacon Road, Hillsdale.The sergeant is a 1984 graduate of Deerfield High School.SGT. FIRST CLASS ED LANE, now on active duty with the Lansing Recruiting Battalion, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, has been honored for his superior performance of duty during fiscal year 1987.Lane received the ArmuAchievement Medal for exceptionally commendable service for the period from Oct. 1, 1986 through Sept. 28. 1987. He was cited for his superior attitude, leadership, and for surpassing standards and production goals.lane was also recognized as the top U.S. Army reserve recruiter, Battle Creek Company, for the second consecutive year.In addition, he was recently awarded the Marksman’s Badge by the U.S. Marine Corps for qualifying with the M16A2 rifle.
