The Organization Is Formed.The Governor’s Greys was first organized April 7th, 1859, in the office of W. W. Heath, who was the chairman of the meeting, and W. Hyde Clark, secretary. The first officers of the company were: President. J. F.Bates; secretary, C. X. Clark; captain, J. M. Robinson; first lieutenant, F. J. Herron; second lieutenant, John B. Smith; orderly, Geo. W. Waldron.The Armory’ was in the rear of the Sanford block at Eighth and Main streets. The officers remained unchanged until Capt. Robinson resigned, when, on Aug. 10th. 1860. the follow ing were elected: Captain. F. J. Herron; first lieutenant, J. B* Smith; second lieutenant. W. H. Clark. On Nov. 30th. Mr. Smith resigned and Mr. Clark became first lieutenant and F. A.
