Bair, Who Sacrificed Life on Field of Battle, Honored by Hanover Ex-Service Men.American Legion Post, No. 14, at a largely attended meeting last night I in the post rooms in the Sheppard and Myers building, ('enter Square, de-| cided upon the name of Harold H. j Bair, for the local organization of the American Legion in honor of Regi-| mental Sergeant-Major Harold H. | Hair, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham I Hair, Last Walnut street, who paid the supreme sacrifice for his country on the battlefields of France.The hero after whom the Hanovcu post has been named was a favorite among the young men of Hanover before being called to the defense ofj his country. He was struck and killed by a German shell while fighting in the Argonne on Sunday, September », 1918. Shortly after his death the Philadelphia Public Ledger contained an article praising his bravery. Among other things it stated that“when Pennsylvania's war history is written the name of Harold II.
