Bair, Who Sacrificed Life on Field of Battle, Honored by Han* over Ex-Service Men.American Legion Post, No. 14, ata largely attended meeting last night in the post rooms in the Sheppard and Myers building, (enter Square, decided upon the name of Harold H. Hair, for the local organization of the American Legion in honor of Regimental Sergeant-Major Harold H.Bair, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Hair, East Walnut street, who paid the supreme sacrifice for his country on the battlefields of France.The hero after whom the Hanovet post has been named was a favorite among the young men of Hanover before being called to the defense of his country. He was struck and killed by a German shell while fighting in the Argo fine on Sunday, September 99, 1918. Shortly after his death the Philadelphia Public ledger contained an article praising his bravery. Among other things it stated that “when Pennsylvania's war h story is written the name of Harold H. linlr* of Hanover, will stand out life# a lustrous star and place his home town on the roll of honor.Colonel ()„ C.
