Sgt. Norman Ward With Language Unit At Kakura, JapanMaster Sgt. Norman J. Ward, son of the iRev. John Ward. 11404 Bell, and husband of Mrs. Lucille M. Ward, is attached to the 178th language detachment of the 24th infantry division in Kokura. Japan.A graduate of Morgan Park High school, Ward enlisted in the army in 1041 and was commissioned in the air force in June 1043. He re-enlisted in the ground forces in September 1046.
