Here's LatestCasualty List ofBowie Men in WarPaul Taliaferro, Principal of Bowie High School, who keeps in closer touch with the Bowie boys in the Armed Service than anyone else, perhaps, has furnished the News the following latest summary, showing a total of 36 missing or killed in action, thus far in this war— and thirteen who have been awarded the Purple Heart, and three who have been awarded the SilverHeart:1—Lt. Kenneth Reddy, killed in Arkansas plane accident.2—Lt. Roy B. Scales, Killed in Florida plane accident.3—Lt. Foy Ray Clingman, killed in raid over Germany.4—Lt. Sam Coffman, killed in plane accident at Pecos, Texas.5—Cpl. Buddy Dyer, killed in i plane accident in England.6—Bobby Huff, killed at Pearl Harbor on Battleship Arkansas7—James Solomon, killed at Pearl Harbor on Battleship Oklahoma.8—Jack Stambaugh, killed op Tarawa Island.9—Ted Lane, Lost in the North Atlantic with ship sinking.10—Dale Thompson, Lost in the Pacific.11—Leslie Thompson, Lost inthe Pacific.12—Roy Dumas, Missing with U. S. S.
