MutSkhnhThe following stud ents from Nederland have received appointment to the Ross Volunteer Company, a cadet honor guard at Texas AGM College,The cadets include: Edward J. Bellow, Jr., David T. Edgar and Charles A. Mills*The Ross Volunteers, the oldest student organization in the State of Texas, was founded in 1887 by Col. T. M. Scott, then business manager of the College, for the purpose of banding together outstanding military m e n at Texas AGM College into a crack drill team.Although the organization presents several drill exhibitions a year, the Company today has evolved into more than just a drill team. Now it represents a combination of the military,academic and character traits that mark theoutstanding student in the corps of cadets.Membership is limited to 125 cadets.
