Lockett.If the weather holds good, at least 150 horses and riders will ssemble from 15 neighboring towns and communities for the event. ;01. Lockett has spent much time these past three weeks during his oon and Sunday rides to map an r\teresting, scenic and rugged oute for the caravan of horsemen.The riders will meet at the tables in the eastern section ofamp prior to 10:00 a. m. They/ill unload their horses and sad-le-up and be ready to ride off ut 0:30. The route has been so deeloped that the riders will arrive t the Hilltop picnic grounds at o’clock where a typical ranch-nan luncheon will be served under he supervision of mess personnel f the 1881st SCU with Lt Berger L Sjoquist in charge. The lunch-on will be paid by the' riders al 0 cents each.After lunch a few brief expres-ions of welcome and appreciation dll be voiced and after a shortFor Laughs Galore See the Hey Rube Show at Club 1 Sun.JJTie rollicking “Hey Rube show’’ from Tulsa, a popular item of entertainment at camp, for morethan two years, returns for another appearance on Sunday evening at Service club No. 1, from 6 until 8 p. m.The charming I ley Rubettes, a slick group of beauty queens from up Tulsa way, will be there with a display of smooth dancing in a variety of chorus numbers.November 22, will be a holiday for all Army Service forces troops on the post with the exception of those assigned to special duty.tt~ ==JWednesday, then tee off in super style at the noon on Thursday, because that’s when the prime meal will be served.Entertainment specialists on the post are going all out to provide a full day of entertainment. Service club 1 is having a gala Thanksgiving dance with lassies from Tulsa serving as partners tor dancing GIs. Music will be furnished by the 97th AGF band.Service club 2 will begin activities with an afternoon dance beginning at 2 p. m. From 5 until T p. m. will bo dinner date time for soldiers, their wives and girl friends. Dancing will take up again at 7 p. m., lasting until11 p. m.Service club 3 opens ‘Thanksgiving day with a coffee hour between 10 and 1.1 in the morning. Scheduled for the afternoon at 2:30 is a movie. Following the movie popular and calssical recordings will be played. In the evening club 3 is sponsoring a dance for colored personnel to be held at the GI club. Bennie Johnson’s orchestra will furnish the music.The Braggs USO has announced that coffee and donuts will be served free of charge beginning at 9 in the morning, ala Sunday style. After the noon turkey has had time to settle, the Braggs club will have turkey sandwiches for soldiers and their guests at 5 p. m. In the evening a movie will be shown and games played.
