Know the LegionThe American Legion cherishes four great principless Justice, Froedom, Demur racy and Loyalty.Loyalty Is the cornerstone of t!ie American Legion, as It Is one of the first virtues of a soldier, it in kb dear as Justice is desirable. as Freedom, is glorious, as Democracy is practical. The most despised man in our country in time of war was the traitor. He who gave aid or comfort to the enemy behind the lines or in our native laud, he who as a captive gave information to the enemy, doubly endangered the lives of his com* cades and his country's cause.Loyalty i* one of the first requisites of a citizen. In the American Legion It will lead us to defend our organization in till that is right, and to use our utmost to keep it fn the right. We must see that the mem hers of this Post are loyal to the American Legion; that the American Legion is loyal to Its principles: and that this land of ours is loyal to itself.You understand that the American Legion ia in 110 sense a military organization. Composed, an it is, of members of every race, religion, occupation, and political conviction, it is obligated to strict neutrality on all questions concerting religion, politics and industrial at rife.You have heard Its four great principles of Justice, Freedom, Democracy, and Loyalty, hh expressed in the Preamble of the Constitution of the American Legion.The next meeting of Stanley V.
