FORT DEDICATED—Last Jan. 2 the Army dedicated the former Ladd Air Force Base to the memory of the late Gen. Jonathan M. Wainwright, hero of Bataan and _Cor-regidor, Fort Wainwright is now the headquarters of the Yukon Command and Army activities north of the Alas-^ , — . ■ ■ I _ If | |i| . •. 1 viir— ■■■ ---------------kan Range, At the dedication ceremony in Hangar No. 1, the men (and one woman) above were especially honored for having served under General Wainwright in the Phil-lippines in the dark days of early World War II. Some were here as members of the Yukon Command, otherswere in the Army reserves in the Fairbanks area. Dedicated plaque, right, was unveiled by Secretary of the Army Wilber N.
