in OBSERVANCE OF VETERANS DAY, November 11th, plaques were dedicatedand placed by two oak trees on the Sinton High School grounds honoring two former students who lost their lives in Vietnam, Those Honored were Pfc. Joe Torres (Feb. 28, 1966), son of Mrs Sefermo Torres and the late Mr. Torres,* and Pfc. fd-ward Gonzales (May 20, 1967), son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gonzales. Principe! Sam May presided at the service and Superintendent J. D Carlisle spoke briefly Rev Domingo De llano of Our lady of Guadalupe Church, gave the dedicatory prayer.The trees were given to the high schoo1 by the Sinton Garden Club Other trees may be placed there at a later data to honor other servicemen.
