Two Jackson Co. Men Re-enlist Into GuardTwo Jackson County men as* signed to the local National Guard unit have recently re-enlisted into the 38th Infantry Division, In*diana National Guard.They are William E. Helwig, Cortland, and Howard H. Wente, Cortland Rl. Helwig, who attended Cortland High School, isthe son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Helwig. Wente also attended Cortland High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wente.Both men are assigned to Co. B, First Medium Tank Battalion (Patton), 138th Armor, of which Capt. Floyd W. Taskey is commanding officer.
