About PeopleMEMORIAL — The U.S.flag is flying this week at the Petroleum Street monument in memory of John R. Hogue who served during World War II with the U.S. Army. He was with the 133 General Hospital in the South Pacific, having received the Purple Heart. The flag is flown by his widow, Norma, his children and the Oil City VFW ladies auxiliary commemorating his Nov. 12 birthdate.
