All are more than pleased to knowthat he has been advanced to the rank of lieutenant.Arriving at home recently for a thirty-day leave, Robert (Moodv) Thompson, MOMM2c, son of Mr. and Mr- Ira Thompson, Huckahay, stated to his family that lie felt like shouting when he caught his first glimpse of live oak trees again. Thompson has been aboard a submarine for 22 months. Hr* i*-wearing stars for four successful patrol runs, and three stars for three active combat engagements.the battles of the Coral Sea, Midway, and The Solomons His sister,Mrs !f. L, Bostick of Fort Worth,arrived at home to be with himduring his stay.
