It appears tb»t both of the parties were intoxicated*— Maiklos was endeavoring to take Poole to but quarters. Poole resisted, and Watkins Atlroipied to force him, when Poole drew t pistol and shot Watkins in the left breast. It was thought that Watkins could not recover. Both nf the parties are from this city. Poole Is known as ‘‘Bloody Poole,” tad Ured in East Wheeling, Watkins resided on the Island. The Snake Hunters irt on their way to Wirt county.
