The rebels were bold enough to make » dith upon the place in the very face* of the Home Gourd, and within gnu shot of the Ohio shore. It was reported that, on Saturday, tbc Mar-ravsville Home Guard and a number of dtisens had an engagement with the rebels01 Pond Creek, about ten miles front Ht»r-rats*ttl«, during which fire or six ot the Moccasin chaps were killed, Oo Saturday night, a prominent secessionist, who had been acting as guide to the Rangers, Wfll hunted down nnd thoi. These Moccasin Rangers are said to be the fellows who bate been marauding throughout Wirt couoty.
