Garnet Scarrow, Frank Forness and Nyall Hyndman were each decorated for extraor-dinary service performed during their years in war. Hyndman received the Military Medal while both Forness and Scarrow were awarded the Croix de guerre (a foreign medal equivalent to the Military Medal.) According to Forness, the Military Medal is the third-highest decoration a soldier can receive. Each man had a citation submitted to the appropriate department, outlining the action they did to deem them worthy of the award. It is not know who submitted the citations, just that itwas done.
