The service is the fourth of its kind, the first being held July 5. 1942.The memorial address for the service will be delivered by General Kenneth C. Royall, under!secretary of wtr. Royall. * native of Goldsboro, is a veteran of both world wars, assuming the position of under secretary of war recently after a brilliant career as a brigadier general in the army.The program, which will be presided over by Mrs. Edith Moore j Sherrod, also includes music by the Saint Dunstan boy choristers and a presentation of plaques by 34ayor Earl N. Phillips. The plaques are presented by the city of High Point as a permanent memorial to the honored war dead.The invocation will Ik* deliveredby Rev. Paul Tudor Jones. The roll of the honored dead will be read by Robert R. Fountain and Taps'* will be blown by Charlie Peck and James Q. Bennett.The first memorial service was held in High Point July 5, 1942, another on May 29, 1944, and the third on March 11, 1945.
