Bob was torn at Rapid City 1 and got his education at Wallace s school For a time he worked in the Reporter office and at the d time of enlistment with the 1 R C. A C in November, 1942, he was employed on the local C N. R. vsection. He received his train- a ing at Fort Garry and Camp Bor- b den and went overseas June 11, n 1943 On November 5 of that ~year he landed in Africa and in Italy December 19. when he transferied to the Calgary Tank Regiment. Following the Italian campaign, he left Italy for Southern France in March, 1945, and saw service in Belgium. Holland and Germany.Bob was on the Queen Elizabeth, which docked at Halifax October 26.Gnr. Nyall Hyndman was born at Oak River and came to Rapid City at the age of four years. He attended Rapid City schools and enlisted November 15, 1941 Nyall got his training at Shilo, Portage la Prairie and Kingston and proceeded overseas in March,1943. After three months in Britain he saw service in Sicily and Italy, and later, landing in Southern France, was in Belgium and Holland. He got back to {Halifax September S and arrived home October 3.| Nyall went to Winnipeg Tuesday to report for his discharge.Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hyndman’s three other sons were also in the services. Harold is still in Germany; Bob recently returned home and reported back to Winnipeg last week, expecting his discharge; Orrie made the supreme sacrifice, serving with the R.C.A.F. in the Mediterranean areaStaff Sgt Bob Butch art, justback from long service overseas, arrived on Wednesday of last week to spend a visit with hisfather, T, J.
