♦if %PEST HOUSE TO BEHOVEDCOUNCIL ISSUES ITS SENTENCE.The Odd Brick Home to be Improved and Devoted to Purposes.The old shack of a pest house in the cemetery heard its death warrant Friday night in the city council when that body passed a resolution authorizing the removal of the same. The little shed is a very familiar sight to residents of the city and has served many times as a detention hospilal. Its location just over the hill close to the edge of the woods was apparently well adapted to prevent any germs of a dangerous character getting loose in the general mass of the community.To Use The Brick.The council has decided to devote the old brick residence on the south side of the new part of the cemetery to the purposes of a pest house. This place was bought by the city for this purpose some years ago and is much of an improvement over the old shack. Before using it, however, some repairs will be necessary and the extent of these will be reported upon by the buildings and grounds committee soon.
