Horn departed thin 1 if« last Tuesday, at his home In tins city from the effects of a cancer with whiet he had for several years been afflicted, foward the last his suffering was so in-tense that death was a happy release ( nrle Win was a soldier in Co. K IjlOtli 111. Inf’y. and was a good one. He wantlso a member of the M. K. church andi good citizen. lie was buried at thf Smart's chapel cemetery, out near his ld home in Brushy, Wednesday. Hit-•emains were accompanied by a delegation from the G. A. It. Post and other riends in this city and were received byi large concourse of old neighbor? at he cemetery. Services were field byI W ; *lis old comrade. Eld. W. S. Blackman, insisted at the grave by Rev. Ramsey ind Eld. Miller. Burial was by the irand Army, Capt. J. H. Pearce con-lucting Hie ceremonies.
