He went south last winter in the hope of receiving relief, butit was so imperceptible and temporary that his friends doubted the benefit of the tripMr. McDonald was born at Centerville* Ohio, November 10, 1830, and therefore lacked but nine days of being 57 years of age. He was the son of John S. and Nancy McDonald, the father dying in this city same fifteen years ago. The mother still lives at the age of about 80years.
