Roswell-headquartered unit takes new mission

The history of the 1st Battalion, 200th Air Defense Artillery, the Roswell-based
New Mexico Armv National
Guard unit which traces its roots to World War II and earlier, is ending.
The unit’s mission and name are changing. The 804th Brigade Support Battalion will be a logistics unit comprising transportation and engineering companies.
According to Capt. Jason Hoogerhuis, the interim administration officer for the 1-200, the switch is part of a larger transformation within the 200th Air Defense Artillery
