xckiii *livs».BATTLE OF FRKDERICKTOWNCamp Hovsy, h»a* IroktomOctober 26tb, 18ftl.}1ra« M, i—On Sunday morning, the 20th inst., our regiment wa^ called upon dram parade, and Mr. Cdtter (as I understood the name) presented as the beautiful stand of colors already refert-ed to in yoar columns, iu behalf of the teachers to Chicago. Ths colors are, a fine silken national flag, and a bias regimental tiag; the whole prepared at a coat of one hundred and thirty dollars. No superfluous eloquence was expended; the colors were presented with an injunction never to surrender them, and were accepted by our Colonel iu a brfaf and soldier-ly speech. At about four p. M., fully equipped for a march, our regiment moved from camp, and once more took the Fredericktown road. Reinforcements had come in since our former advance, and the ooiumn of march now presented nil the features of an army.
