Warriors Pound DirtBy Brenda WieseAs vou all know two senior lxvs from* *I,CHS joined the military IxkiI camp this summer They were Monty Daniels, Kent Marra and Mike WhiteIn general w hen asked questioas they felt almost the same Monty and Kent both felt that it was different and lonely to spend the summer in the militarytDifferent activities they do is mar ehing and learn military customs such as how to greet an officer, also you learn how to shoot guns and throw hand grenadesThey both commented on how the drill seargants are real hard core and play a lot of mind games such as some seargant tells you to do something and another seargant will say you are doing it wronc. But they do get easier the lastcouple of weeksWhen asked how they liked the military Monty said, 1 liked the challenge He also added ‘ it gave me the learning experience and it was made interesting as well as demanding Kent also said.1 liked the experience 'Haircuts didn't seem to txrthcr them they both said you get uswl to them Monty said. They are cool but you get a sunburn When you get hack you get crap but they are just jealous Ixrause we are involved and they are notMontv went to Fort Jackson South Carolina for 9 long weeks Kent went toFort Sill. Oklahoma for hi weeksMonty plans to make a career in the army after he graduates Kent does not know if he plans to make a career of it yet
