We owe it to the returning heores; they have earned it.The line of march, as given out by Grand Marshal .Johnson, will be from Lower Market square up Second to North Waller, up North Waller to Tenth, halt, with the head of the column at the C. P. V. depot. Co. II will form and march in the rear ol the column, back down North Waller to Second, down Second to Chilli-cofche, up Chillicothe to the armory The head of the column will halt arid open ranks at the armory and Co. II will march through the line and enter the armory.Oscar Newman was appointed a committee of one, with power to select two others, to represent Portsmouth at the demonstration in Columbus. They will come down on the train with the boys and arrange for Co. IT’s car to be left off at the C. P. AC depot and see that proper Dotice as to time of the company’s arrival is given those in charge of the parade.It has been arranged by the decoration committee that when the train bearing the boys reaches Cireleville one long whistle will be given by the water works. When they reach Cbil-licotbe two whistles will be blown; at Waverly three, and when the train reaches Big Run, ^seventeen miles away, the water works will blow four lODg blasts, which will be the signal for ;the parade to leave the Lower Market square. This will be ample time for preparation. It will be t wo hours and ten minutes from the first signal until the arrival of the train.Mr. Seebohm reported for the lio-ancc committee, they were meeting with liberal support from the citizens aDd that he felt safe to say the finances would be all right. They haven’t done much work ‘so far, but would start in earnest today. Citizens are urged to respond liberally. Make the boys feel that you appreciate what they have done. They have made it possible for us to enjoy peaceful scenes. All money left over from the fund will be given to any needy families of members or the returning company. This is certainly a worthy cause.The banquet will be in charge cf the ladies and will be held at Seei’s hall the evening after their arrival. Only members of the company will be entertained. This will be from 5 to 0:30 in the evening.
