The program was to have been held in the city park, but was transferred to'the temple on account of threatening weather.Praur to the program G.- A. R. veterans and their families were guests of the Daughters at a dinner at .the Elks' temple, and a dinner was also given at the Hope block by the auxiliary lt;jf the U, S. W. V. for Spanish war veterans mid their families.Yesterday evening water services were.held at .Riverside park under the auspices of the u. S. w. V, auxiliary in memoiy of martyred sailors,;The three local cemeteries became scenes of floral beauty as scores of citizens visited the resting places of loved oms to express tender memories in the language of flowers.Mrsi Maud Brundage, who was in general charge of the Memorial day obscrvenco for the Daughters of Union Veterans, today expressed that organization’s appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the program.
