Sgt. Gillard services to beJheld tomorrowELTON, La. — Funeral services for Sargeant Michael Gillard will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Paul’s Catholic Church.Rev. William Frantzen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Elton Catholic CemeterySgt. Gillard was killed in an accident while serving with the U.S. Armed Forces hi Vietnam. His body was taken to Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Elton yesterday.He was a 1965 graduate of Elton High School and was assigned to Company D of the second battalion, 101st Airborne, 51st Infantry in Vietnam.He was the son of Mrs. Ama-dine Gillard of Elton.He received his training at Ft. Polk and was assigned to Vietnam after serving at Ft. Benning, Ga.Surviving are his mother, three brothers, Patrick of Beaumont, Tex., George of Jennings and Paul of DeRidder;Four sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Thompson of Santa Maria Calif., Mrs. Cyrus Bergeron of Baton Rouge, Mrs. AI c i e Vidrine of Elton and Jeannette of Elton.He is also survived by his grandmother, Mrs. Ignace Le-ger, 82, of Elton.
