Parade Marks Memorial Day Honor EventA Memorial Day program sponsored by John McClain Post No. 196 of the American Legion will be held at Green-hill Cemetery at 5 p.m. today when a new flag pole and entry will be unveiled.Hep. Horace R Komega.y will be the principal speaker.He will be introduced by Sen. Ed Kemp.A parade will precede theceremonies, starting from the City Water Works on Kivett I Drive to the cemetery where a special stand has been erected. Marching groups willinclude a color guard from Fort Bragg, the Griffin Junior High School Band, a firing squad from Fort Bragg, Gold Star Mothers in autos,Spanish-American War veterans, American Legion and other veterans, the William Penn High School Band, Elks — Lodge, National Guard unit and band from Fort Bragg.H. M.
