Roswell Naval Officer Serves'HawaHICKAM AIR FORCE BASE,Hawaii—LCDR Thomas B. Harrison, USN, above, with more than 3,200 pilot hours, arrived in Hawaii recently for duty with Navy Air Transport Squadron Eight 1VR-8) at Hickam.Entering the Navy in March,1941, as an enlisted man, he re-h ceived his commission in February, i1942. LCDR Harrison is a graduate , of the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque and the Navy’s ’ General Line School at Monterey, ] Calif. During World War II, he lt;served aboard the light cruiser i USS Columbia in the Pacific area, jVR-8, operating under the Pa- i cific Division of the Military Airii Transport^Service i MATS». is currently engaged in the Pacific Airlift to Korea. Pacific Division; MATS, composed of Air Force and lt;Navy planes, is supporting United 1 Nations troops in Korea with an iaround-the-clock airlift of critical cargo and personnel at the rate of 110 pounds per minute. More than 57.000 Korean casualties and military patients have been evacuated by MATS planes to the United States.LCDR Harrison is the husband of the former Miss Anne Elizabeth Glenn of Corpus Christi, Texas, and tire son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe K. Harrison of 703 South Atkinson, oswell, New Mexico. The Harrisons and their three children reside at 3820 Kidd Drive, Honolulu, Hawaii.
