Crawfish and daughter.Five Hardin Co.Men Are Awarded the Purple HeartKENTON. *Mav 27—Five Hardin county infantrymen were Sunday awarded the Purple Heart medal for wounds received in action during the liberation of Manila. Among the first fight.ing troops to enter the Philippinecapital are Staff Sergeant Robert E. Hesser. son of Clay Hesser, of route 2, Kenton; PFC George E. Mabrey. son of Mrs. Mae Mabrey, of 603 High street. Kenton; Tech. Sgt. George Paul, husband of Mrs. Helen M. Paul, of route 3, Kenton: Sgt. Arthur E. Waitley,son of Mrs. Manr Wagner, of 332 Clinton street, Kenton, and Sgt. Charles McCann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe McCann, of West Posh* ington street, Dunkirk.
