Juin I 4, in compliment to Sir Moses Ezekiel, of Rome, and Mrs. Ilaisy Me* Laurin Stevens, of Mississippi, president of the United Daughters of the 'Confederacy. Sir Moses, who is the sculptor of the monument to he unveiled at Arlington, is a native of Virginia. He has a distinguished name in i art circles of Italy, where he was i knighted. He will he a guest while j here of the Daughters of the I'mi-federacy, at the Willard. Many hospitalities have been planned in his hon-I or during his stay at Washington. Mr Hilary Herbert, former secretary of the nav\, will inaugurate them with a luncheon the day of Sir Moses’ arrival. Mrs. Stevens, president generalof tiie Daughters of the Confederacy, is a daughter of former Senator Mc-Laurm, and lias a large circle of inends at Washington. The reception j on the night lt;»f June 4 will he given at the Pan-American building, Washington. and will he one of tile notable functions of the season. The Marine ! band will furnish the music, and a dance will conclude the evening. Richmond chapter, United Daughters,of the Confederacy, will run a large excursion to Arlington June 4th. A special train leaves Elba at S a. m. I and returning starts from Washington at » p. m.‘
