Fletcher, pastor of Westminster United Presbyterian Church and speaker for the Memorial Day program in Cambridge, said Monday.He was commenting on the local parade and program, similar to many such observances across the land.The pastor noted with pride that on a family trip to Gettysburg, he and his family saw the commemorative spots where his great-great-grandfather with the Vermontbrigade and his wife’s great-great-grandfather with the Pennsylvania unit had fought in the Civil War.“This is America and I’m convinced it cannot be destroyed,” he said, adding there was some good even in efforts of people like Madeline O’Hare who stir up resistance and remind Americans to fight for their blessings.“God is a part of our land and must be,” he emphasized.Noting that this country was founded on faith in God, he told how the constitutional convention was deadlocked untilBenjamin Franklin reminded them that “God governs in theIxjrd build the house, they labor in vain who build it.”History records that the constitution was then written, without discord, in all its beauty and glory as it is today.The speaker concluded hisCar Crash Claims TwoCOSHOCTON - Two Mansfield men died over the weekend from injuries suffered in a one-car crash about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Route 715 at the Mohawk Dam in Jefferson Twp., Coshocton County.The Coshocton County sheriff’s office identified the victims as Donald L.
