FRIDAY, MAY 26, 1944. . With Theoys In CampPrivate First Class John Spolarich, who is serving in England, recentlyattended a picture theatre there. Imagine his surprise and pleasure when he found the seat in front of him occupied by Lt. Meyer Serkes, former commercial teacher in DePue. They enjoyed a visit after the show andplan to meet again as soon as theirmilitary duties permit. Pfc. Spolarichis serving in a truck battalion. Lt.Serkes is serving in a port company. mmm -vvw- mT\ •iTechnician Fifth Grade William J.1 Wallaert of Spring Valley has been serving with a Petroleum Disbursing Unit in Italy. He is in a company that is responsible for the many I miles of pipeline which carry thou 1 sands of gallons of gasoline to the Fifth Army fighting front every day! of the week. He participated m the construction of the new pipelines1 over mountains, across rivers ana 1 through rivers. _llS8Kff
