Pfelffenborger received copies today of the regulations gover ning the registering of young men for the selective draft in the army, In connection with his appointment by the (ioveruoi to serve as examining physician for the county. The board in the county consist* of the sheriff, (he county clerk and a physician the governor appoints and in this case, lr. Pfelffenborger holds the commission. It is assumed that upon the word of the official examiner appointed by the 'Jovernor will depend ui»on whether a drafted young man can plead successfully exempt because of ill health. It is assumed that the examining physician named by the governor will be the final authority to determine whether any malady that lH pleaded as an excuse to avoid array service is sufficient to bar the drafted man Other physicians will probably serve under the registry board of the county as it would he impossible for one (o look after ali the cases. Dr. Pfetffenberger is not fully posted as to what his duties will be. but he will make further inquiry and expects to devote his full attention to whatever may be required of him.
