* T I I 4 l/\/ T Wll Willmander Frank Saitcr and Auxiliary president Mrs. John Folh, Mayor Finn will speak briofly as will - Earl lierly, president of the Chamber of Commerce, and Lyle “Bud” Anderson, 8th District Vice Commander.Mr. Gammaek will then make a few remarks. A wreath will be layed for the dedication ceremonies and the Algona high school band will participate in the cere* monies.FOLLOWING the dedication, an Open House will be held in the new Legion building with the public cordially invited to attend from 12 noon until 3 p.m. The Legion will le open for business the rest of the day.Ed Farrell is chairman ofthe event.Regular Memorial Day services wilt begin at 6;30 p.m. at the River Bridge north of Algona with the V.F.W. and American Legion participating in the event. Ceremonies are scheduled for 7 a.m. at the bridge, 7:20 a.m. at Calvary cemetery, 7:35 a.m. at East Lawn, 7:50 a.m. at the Irvington cemetery and 8:10 a.m. at St. Benedict. Father Dailey will also give the prayer at these services,The parade will organize at the corner of State and Phillips street at 9:30 a.m. and continue to Riverside cemetery w'here the annual program will start at 10 a.m. with Mr. Gammaek giving the speech.Veterans desiring rides in the parade can contact Ed Farrell or Frank Saiter and transportation will be arranged.
