FRONT VIEW OF NEW AMERICAN LEGION QUARTERSFlood of “phony” driver’s licensesA flood of phony driver's licentei have been reported in Kossuth County in the possession of teen agers using the licenses to purchase beer and liquor, it was reported by Highway Patrolman Tom Cogdall Monday.He confiscated two licenses from a teen-ager who was stopped on an auto viotat.on Saturday night. The licenses were excellent facsimilies of real licenses, done in pencil and traced over real licenses. The paper used was the back of a blank check.Police also have confiscated phony licenses and draft cards recently and it is reported the fake licenses «* nn 1- i»------1.- . •Gordon (Jammack, well-known Dos Moines columnist, will I*; the main speaker both for the morning service at Itivcrview cemetery and for the Ix'gion dedication shortly after.The |Ntsl office building has been extensively remodeled in recent weeks with approximately $25,000 used to put the building into shape for the legion uses. The organization moved from its old quarters last weekend.The new building has a spacious banquet and meeting room upstairs with kitchen facilities, a beautifully decorated cocktail lounge, toilet facilities and four meeting rooms downstairs which will le rented to groups and organizations.The new building is completely air conditioned.DEDICATION will begin about 11:30 a.m. on the front steps. Father Milo Dailey will give the invocation, welcome will bo given by Legion Commander Frank Sailer and Auxiliary president Mrs. John Folh, Mayor Finn will speak briofly as will- Earl Lierly, president of the Chamber of Commerce, and Lyle Bud Anderson, 8th District Vice Commander.Mr. Gaminack will then make a few remarks. A wrcatli will be layed for the dedication ceremonies and the Algona high school band will participate in the ceremonies.NEW LEGION COCKTAIL LOUNGE
