LT. JOSEPH TODD 1st. Lt. Joseph M. Todd. 25, formerFlora youth, was killed in an aircraft crash on Sept. 29, in the southwest Pacific area. Lt. Todd was the son of Garfield Todd of Young America and Mrs. Orah Todd of Elkhart.The young officer, a bombardier, was a native oh Carroll county and graduated with highest honors from the Carrollton high school'. He saw action in the battle of Midway and inthe Solomons.The message from the war department, although it gave no details of the accident, stated that Lt. Todd met his death in action xn an island nearAustralia.
