OC men in fatal crash identifiedPilot, cameraman killed in midair collisionBy Edward HumesThe RegisterWhile the cause of a midair collision between a military jet and a private plane above the Tehachapi Mountains remained unknown Sat* urday, investigators officially identified two civilians killed in the crash as the owner of a Santa Ana aerial-photographv company and one of his cameramen.Marvin Andelin, 51, of Irvine, and Jim Nenneman, 34, of Santa Ana, were among four fliers killed Friday morning when their Cessna P-206 collided with a T-38 Talon training jet flying out of Edwards Air Force Base, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.Andelin co-owned Pacific Aero Graphics, an aerial photography firm in Santa Ana. The company operates two small planes and uses two-man pilot-cameraman teams to take precise aerial photographs for map-making and surveys.Andelin was piloting such a flight at the time of the collision and Nen-r.eman was shooting aerial photos, Pacific Aero Graphics co-owner Jim Sorenson said Saturday.Two Air Force fliers aboard the Talon jet were killed in the collision and subsequent crash. They were identified Friday by Air Force spokesmen as Maj. Michael Keane, 33, a pilot from Prospect, 111., and 1st Lt. Gregory B. Hoglan, 26, an avionics engineer from University City, Mo.Andelin’s wife, Peggy, said her husband was on a map-making tlight and had left John Wayne Airport for Kern County on Friday morning. She said he was a capable pilot with years of commercial and private flying experience.“He's been hying for 34 years,” she said. “We really don’t know what’s happened.
